Welcome to YogaLab. Please read our Terms and Conditions carefully.
By purchasing a casual session, pass, merchandise and/or entering our studios you agree to our terms and conditions. The term ‘you’ refers to the user or viewer of our online platforms (e.g. websites and social media) /studio. We reserve the right to update, change or replace any part of these terms and conditions at any time. It is your responsibility to periodically check our website for changes. If you disagree with any part of these terms and conditions, please do not continue using this website or making any purchases.
General
YogaLab’s products and services will be supplied with reasonable skill and care.
All prices are in New Zealand Dollar ($) and include GST for New Zealand purchasers. Prices are subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to amend prices and printing errors.
All session cards or passes will be automatically activated after 30 days since purchased, and start calculating validity.
In order to obtain a session card or pass, you must be 18 years of age or over. Minors aged under 18 years may obtain a session card or pass, but only if their parent or guardian have provided consent.
Minors under 14 years can only attend an on-site session if they are accompanied by legal guardians.
Private class terms and conditions
The classes are only taught in our studio: 9A Hunterville Court, Ellerslie, Auckland, NZ. Any classes in your home or studio are not available. Yoga mats and all the other props are provided. You can bring your own if you want.
All price rates for private session cards or passes are calculated by one-hour-length session for one user only. This will be calculated as one credit. If you need 1.5 hours or want a private class with your friends, please contact us.
Booking is essential. You're able to cancel your booking for free up to 24 hours before the class starts. Cancellation less than 24 hours before class or absence will cost one credit.
Each account can early-cancel (more than 24hours before the class starts) up to 5 times per month. On the 6th early-cancel in a month the account will be suspended for a month. You cannot book or cancel class under suspension, and the validity period wouldn't be automatically extended. Any late cancellation (within 24 hours) will be charged for one class.
If you fail to attend our sessions before the expiration date of your session cards or passes, they will be non-transferable and non-refundable. If you fail to make a booking within 30 days of purchasing a pass, the validity period will be automatically activated. The validity period will be automatically extended if Auckland encounters a lockdown under level 3 or level 4. The validity period will be automatically extended for YogaLabs annual Christmas holidays.
All session cards or passes you purchased are for your use only, these cannot be used for any other person on your behalf. Session cards or passes can be transferred to another person for a $65 service fee each time a card is transferred. It is the clients' responsibility to find a person to transfer to. The balance of transferred passes remains as the original type of passes purchased and the original validity period, this cannot be changed for other classes or have the validity period extended.
All session cards or passes are non-refundable. Your credit balance cannot be redeemed in cash or used to purchase other merchandise.
You can choose any themed class with Multiple sessions card. You can only choose the specific themed class with a Single session card. And the theme cannot be changed afterwards.
Membership and termination
Group and private session cards or passes cannot be exchanged with each other.

If you want to attend a private session for more than one hour and/or one attendant, please enquire about the price to our customer service prior to booking.
All price rates for group session cards or passes are calculated by one-hour-length session for one user only. This will be calculated as one credit.
On-site session cards or passes can be used to book online sessions with a deduction of 0.7 standard credit.
Online session cards or passes can only be used to book on-site sessions by making up the difference and paying a $30 service fee each time.
From September 1, 2020, when booking a session for more than one hour will be charged by actual session length accordingly. For example, 1.5 hours will be charged for 1.5 credit.
If the balance of your credit will not be enough for making the next booking, you are eligible to make us the price difference for one session. Please contact our customer service for details.
All session cards or passes are non-returnable.
All session cards or passes you purchased are for your use only. You cannot permit any other person to use on your behalf. However, your session cards or passes can be transferred to another person with a $65 service fee each time. It is the client's responsibility to find a person to transfer to. The balance of transferred passes remains as the original type of passes purchased and the original validity period, this cannot be changed for other classes or have the validity period extended.
Workshops and special events are not included in any group session cards or passes and may be eligible for an extra charge.
You may suspend your session cards or passes if you have to go to a foreign country other than New Zealand, or you are advised to do so for medical reasons, on the presentation of a medical certificate. You must send a request in advance to yogalab.nz@gmail.com and pay a $20 service fee.
If you still have credits in your balance after your expiration date, you are eligible to transfer your credits to your new paid pass (Single session cards ineligible). A 20% service fee of previous credits will be charged each time and the validity of the new pass will not be extended (e.g. If you have 3 credits remaining in your expired $250-worth 10-session pass and you are buying a new $ 590-worth 26-session pass, you will have to pay $605 in total. The calculation is $250/10*3*20%+$590=$605.).
If you fail to attend our sessions before the expiration date of your session cards or passes, they will be non-transferable and non-refundable.
Booking and cancellation
All sessions must be booked through YogaLab’s online booking system (https://store.yogalab.nz/store/default/booking ) prior to the starting time of the session.
You can only make bookings whilst you have a valid session card or pass and it will still be valid on the date of the session you intend to book.
For any group session, the minimum attendant is 4 persons per session. The session will be cancelled one hour prior to the starting time if the minimum attendant rule cannot be met.
From September 1, 2020, all late cancellations within 18 hours to the start of a reserved group session or no-show will result in credit deduction or a $15 penalty for unlimited monthly pass holders.
All late cancellations within 2 hours to the start of a reserved group session or no-show will result in credit deduction or a $15 penalty for unlimited monthly pass holders.
All late cancellations within 24 hours to the start of a reserved private session or no-show will result in credit deduction or a $15 penalty for unlimited monthly pass holders.
If you cannot attend a session, you are free to find another YogaLab paid student to take your place. However, you must notify YogaLab customer service at least one hour prior to the start of the session. When your substitute finishes the session, her credits will be charged meanwhile your balance will be restored.
If you cannot attend an on-site session you booked, you can instantly book an online session in the same period. However, your previous booking will be considered as late cancel and the online session will be charged as well.
Unlimited monthly pass holders will have their booking privileges suspended for two weeks if they do not attend sessions or late cancel three times in the one-month period.
Any session that was cancelled by YogaLab, will not charge you for credit. And the expiration date for an unlimited monthly pass can be extended accordingly.
Course schedules
The maximum days allowed to book a private session in advance is 21 days.
The group session scheduled for next week will be released on Friday morning.
YogaLab reserves the right to change the class schedule, including cancellation of individual sessions and change of teachers without notice.
YogaLab will have time off on all public holidays in New Zealand and some of the traditional Chinese Festivals.
Please find our Christmas holiday arrangement on the class schedule for the month.
YogaLab endeavours to offer more than 46 weeks of classes (320 sessions) annually.
You will be notified of any permanent changes to our course schedules.
On-site session rules
Please arrive at least 5 minutes prior to the start of a session as late entry is discouraged and cannot be guaranteed.
No food is to be consumed within our premises.
Smoking and alcohol drinks are prohibited within our premises.
You are requested to wear appropriate clothing for yoga practices.
No other guests are allowed on our premises during on-site sessions. Your friend or family must stay outside.
Any photographing, audio or video recording for both on-site and online sessions must obtain consents from our teachers.
YogaLab reserves the right to refuse entry to or eject you from our premises in the event that you are behaving in an anti-social, intoxicated, disorderly, aggressive, offensive or dangerous manner or in any manner which impacts the security of our students or other people at the studio.
Yoga postures may be enhanced by your yoga teacher through one-on-one adjustments from time to time during the session. If you do not want any physical adjustments or contact, please notify our teacher in advance.
Online session rules
Please set up your device as instructed and test it before the start of the session. If you have any tech issue, please seek help from providers of your device or software.
Please make sure you have a stable and reasonable internet connection whilst the online session. YogaLab holds no responsibility to internet lagging or disconnection during online sessions, and no compensation will be given to you.
You are not allowed to make screenshots or record video whist online sessions unless obtained valid consent from YogaLab.
Health disclaimers and safety
Physical exercise, in all of its forms and with or without the use of equipment (such as blocks, straps or any other equipment that may be suggested by a YogaLab teacher), is a physical activity. And that such activity carries the risk of injury whether physical or mental. You understand that it is your responsibility to judge your physical and mental capabilities for such activities.
Our teachers are not medically trained and are therefore not qualified to assess whether you are fit to engage in any of our sessions. You are advised to seek medical advice prior to commencing any exercise program.
If there is any doubt, you should consult your doctor. You must notify YogaLab of any circumstances affecting your health, which may be exacerbated through continued use of the Studio.
Participating in any form of exercise at our studio or during an online session is done entirely at your own risk.
It is the responsibility of yours to notify teachers of any previous injury, illness, or conditions that may impact your practice.
YogaLab is in no way liable for any injury, or death resulting from attending our sessions both on-site and online.
Personal responsibility
You agree to, at all times, abide by the rules of conduct, behaviour, dress code and other policies or rules.
For security reasons, you are advised to place all your valuables in a safe place whilst attending our sessions.
Any losses of properties will be your own responsibility.
Non-course merchandise
Our products are designed to aid you during yoga poses. Please use good judgment and do not put yourself or others in positions using props where injury and damage may result. We will not be held liable for injury or damage caused by any of our products. Seek the advice of a qualified teacher for instruction on how to use our yoga props correctly.
Prices may increase from time to time to reflect increases in cost and benefits. Unforeseen supply problems or unexpected demand may occasionally result in stock being unavailable.
YogaLab is not liable for the damages and/or losses of its products during the shipping process to customers. You may seek compensation from the couriers.
YogaLab is not liable for any of its products that have been on-sold by a customer to a third party.
Terms and conditions for websites and social media
All materials on the Website and our social media, including, without limitation, names, logos, trademarks, images, text, columns, graphics, videos, photographs, illustrations, artwork, software and other elements (collectively, “Material”) are protected by copyrights, trademarks and/or other intellectual property rights owned and controlled by YogaLab. You acknowledge and agree that all Materials on the Website and our social media are made available for limited, non-commercial, personal use only. No Material may be copied, reproduced, republished, sold, downloaded, posted, transmitted, or distributed in any way, or otherwise used for any purpose, by any person or entity, without YogaLab’s prior express written permission. You may not add, delete, distort, or otherwise modify the Material. Any unauthorised attempt to modify any Material, to defeat or circumvent any security features, or to utilize the Website or any part of the Material for any purpose other than its intended purposes is strictly prohibited.
We keep our website as up-to-date as possible but from time to time the information about prices and availability may not be absolutely accurate. We will contact you immediately if there is an issue with any product in your order and resolve this promptly.
All measurements and weights quoted on our website are approximate only. There can be variations in product measurements and weights and whilst we do everything we can to provide accurate information to you but sometimes our figures may be inaccurate.
Unauthorised use of this website may give rise to a claim for damages and/or be a criminal offence.
From time to time this website or our social media may also include links to other websites. These links are provided for your convenience to provide further information. They do not signify that YogaLab endorses the website(s). YogaLab has no responsibility for the content of any linked website(s).
YogaLab may suspend the operation of the website for maintenance or update from time to time. Access to or use of the website or any pages linked to it will not necessarily be uninterrupted or error-free.
Privacy policy
It is also vital that you supply us with correct information about yourself. We cannot be liable for any incorrect information supplied by you to us. You must inform us when your contact details change so we can keep in touch with you.
We take your privacy seriously. We do not pass your information onto any other business. If you do not wish to receive email, SMS or mail correspondence from us regarding your Membership, special offers or promotions then please send us an email or letter confirming that you wish to unsubscribe from such methods of communication.
YogaLab may take photos or videos during our sessions for promotion and/or documentary purposes. If you are not comfortable to be seen in these images, please contact YogaLab to be removed.
Should you choose to create a profile on our website we may store a cookie on your computer. The information stored in the cookie allows us to personalize your visit and can help you obtain the information you have requested. If you wish you can disable cookies from being stored on your computer by changing your browser settings, however, this may result in a limited experience of our functionality and services. YogaLab does not use cookies to record any personal information.
You may at any time access and change your personal information or subscribed services. We will take all reasonable steps to keep your information secure.
YogaLab uses a third party software provider known as Ivor Software. In order to create an account, your personal information will be provided to the proprietor of Ivor Software. The collection and use of personal information by Ivor Software is governed by Ivor Software’s privacy policy.
Complaints
Please submit any complaints via email to yogalab.nz@gmail.com. Please include all details relating to your complaint. We will do all that is reasonably and practicably possible to assess the merits of the complaint and respond within a reasonable timeframe.
Lawful Use
These terms of use and the provision of goods and service by us are governed by and to be interpreted in accordance with the laws in force in New Zealand and in the event of any dispute arising in relation to these terms of use or their subject matter you irrevocably and unconditionally submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand over such dispute.
